Texas vs. the SEC

I know this doesn't mean a lot. So I'm not saying that UT would roll through the SEC, but it's funny that historically speaking, they've done pretty well.  Although Vandy totally owns us.

I started asking myself why I love this world so much. What makes me hold on to it when I know that it won’t last? We are all heading to an eternity with or without God, so I do not understand why we all hold on to this world and its riches so tightly. It is the same as holding on to your armrests in an airplane when you become afraid. Do you believe that the seat will not go down if the plane does? What are you thinking? So why hold on to the things of this world that will be destroyed with the rest of the world?

Instead of worrying about business or the stock market, just pray the prayer, “God help me to love You more.” Pray like your life depended on it (it actually does). Ask God to help you love Him more than you love your bonus. Or more than you love your hobby on which you spend all of your spare time and income. Ask God to replace your devotion to whatever dominates your thinking with a stronger love of Him.

We need to become men and women who will put our actions where our mouths are. It is imperative for our faith that we reject the idea that Jesus only comes to save us from hell. He comes rather to implant in us His heart and desire to do the will of the Father. We will never grow in our faith until we trust His goodness by acting upon what we know to be true.

Welcome to Squarespace!  Below is a video that shows you how to get started using our system.

The three most important things to keep in mind:

• The buttons in the top right allow you to interact with your site in different ways.  For instance, the 'A' icon represents content mode, which lets you edit journal entries and other content.  The 'Cube' Icon represents structure mode, which lets you add and organize pages.  Each mode is explained if you hover on the icon.
  
  
• You can drag and drop anything on your site.  Want to move a page link?  Enter structure mode and drag the page link to a new location.  You can even drag page links between columns or from a column on to your top navigation bar.  Need to edit a journal entry?  Enter content mode (the big 'A') and click 'modify' on the entry you'd like to edit.
  
  
• Our styles are presets that you can make your own.  Entering style mode by clicking the paintbrush icon in the upper right lets you edit any color, width, column arrangement, banner and more.  Try going to the Fonts, Colors & Sizes tab of the style editor menu, then just click the element on your site you want to edit (the element(s) you are editing will have a red, dotted border around them).
